Fontana man dies after bull attack

FONTANA, Calif. - A man died after being trampled by a full-grown bull in his back yard, officials said.
Juan Gonzalez, 41, died at a hospital Wednesday from massive trauma, according to the San Bernardino County coroner's office. He had been injured on April 24 when the bull turned on him as he was trying to put it in a pen, coroner's officials said.
"It happened very fast," said Gonzalez's friend, Martin Ramos, who witnessed the trampling. "After the incident, the bull was very calm. It was as if nothing happened. It wasn't acting wild."
The bull knocked Gonzalez out, but he regained consciousness and complained of shortness of breath, said Tracey Martinez, a San Bernardino County Fire Department spokeswoman. Paramedics took him to a hospital.
Neighbors said Gonzalez worked in construction and had five children.
