AltaOne donates to Boys and Girls Club

AltaOne Federal Credit Union’s Ridgecrest area branches and members recently donated $4,395 to the Southern Sierra Boys and Girls Club. The funds will be used for the after school homework help and academic enhancement program called “Project Learn”.

The funds were raised through AltaOne Federal Credit Union’s Skip Pay program during the months of June and July. Qualified members could skip a loan or Visa payment for a $20 fee. A portion of that fee was then donated to the charity of the branch’s choice. “We could not have done this without the support of our members. This was a great way to give back to our community,” said Linda Fisher, Member Service Manager for the Ridgecrest area branches.

AltaOne Federal Credit Union has been a safe and sound financial services provider since its inception in 1947 as the NOTS Employees Federal Credit Union. With over 41,000 members and $450 million in assets today, AltaOne provides a full range of financial services. Membership in AltaOne is available to people who live, work, worship, or attend school in Kern, Inyo, Mono and Northern San Bernardino counties.

BS Ranch Perspective:

The way that I see it is that AltaOne Federal Credit Union has really done something that is good here for the communities of Ridgecrest, Big Pine Lone Pine, Bishop, Independence, Mammoth Lakes, Chalfont Valley, Benton, Rainsberg, Boron, Bridgeport, Twin Lakes, June Lake, and who could forget, & Olanchia.

Why with the money that they spread out over the whole territory that they spread it out over, Topaz Lake, I forgot, and the small area there is a small town there is a school that is just out side of Topaze lake. I cannot remember the name of it. Oh well, but that is another community that is covered by this funding that they generously gave. But the money that they gave they mainly wanted it to serve the area that they gave to, mainly the Ridgecrest area, and not so much, Bishop Mammoth Lakes, and so on. Just Ridgecrest, and surrounding area. I cannot blame them, after all that amount of money is large and they want it to serve the people and students that they serve.

Thank you Very much for the donation to the children there, I am sure that they appreciate it.
